Phone interview with an intern and then manager. Process was very messy and unclear; didn’t ask about anything other than resume and experiences. Emailed for an update due to a pending offer but didn’t receive anything until a generic rejection months later. Bad experience

I was interviewed by the Director of Marketing for Low Power Notebooks.
He asked me which company's Marketing strategy impressed him and why.
I did not mention Intel.
He asked me why, and I said that I did not get the point of the Multiply Marketing campaign.
Needless to say, I did not get hired.
