Executive Leadership had offshored key functions and that offshoring was NOT working for all concerned. Local management was/is stuck with that and wanted out aka get rid of the offshored personnel. But the office politics involved was stopping progress. Interviewers seemed to be walking all over eggshells to avoid the primary issue.
