The assessment centre consisted of a couple of talks about what the company did, two tests and an interview.
The first test was a verbal/numerical/data handling style exam and the second was either a biology or chemistry paper, consisting of university first year science questions and some questions about GMP and lab procedures. Nobody at the assessment centre finished the questions, many finished about half and it seemed unnecessarily difficult. There was a lunch after where it became apparent that many employees don’t particularly want to work there because of the comparitively low pay.
The interview was with two members of the team I was to join. Neither had read my C.V. in advance, knew who I was or prepared any questions to ask me, which made it quite difficult to answer. They were quite unprofessional and would have become my supervisor/manager.
They are yet to inform me if I got the job or not over a month later. It’s quite unprofessional to say that they’ll let you know and then not do.
