I went through a screening call with a staff from the Singapore team, and the experience left me feeling disrespected and annoyed. He was unprofessional, condescending, and repeatedly addressed me as ‘bro,’ which felt inappropriate for an interview setting.
When answering his questions, he often doubted my responses, including dismissing my claim of speaking the required language, as if he knew me personally. His tone throughout was unprofessional, and he even laughed when I stated my salary expectations. To add to this, the salary range offered (75k) is waaaay below the industry average (90k-140k).
The treatment I received during this single screening call was a red flag and raised concerns about the company’s hiring process. I hope the recruitment team reviews such conduct to ensure candidates are treated respectfully and fairly, so the hiring experience better reflects the company’s values.
