I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Intuit in Aug 2018
Interview
After the online coding round, there were 2 rounds. The first one was a pen and paper coding round. The second was the in-person technical interview and basic knowledge of algorithms, data structures, OS concepts, and DBMS was tested.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
In the pen and paper coding round, a graph problem was given and we were supposed to explain the approach and write the code on paper.
The in-person interview started with the discussion of a project that I had done during my internship. Questions related to the database of my project were asked and I was asked to write a few SQL queries.
They asked me other simple questions about semaphores (OS), java strings, and a few coding problems (arrays and queues).
Online Assessment: 90-min coding challenge (DSA, SQL, Bash) with a 4-day window to start.
Recruiter Screen: 30-min call with Uptime Crew covering your projects, tech stack, and AI tool usage.
Take-Home Project: A larger, open-ended coding assignment completed on your own time.
Project Review: 30-min interview walking through your build; expect follow-up variations on the problem.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Intuit in Apr 2026
Interview
After having the initial application accepted there follows a four-stage process conducted largely through Uptime Crew. There's a 90-minute coding challenge, followed by a 30 minute 1:1 interview with an Uptime recruiter. If you make it past those two steps, there is a larger take home project, followed by another 30-minute interview to review your build. There is a four day window for the initial coding challenge and be prepared to receive challenges in languages not listed on the job's requirements, like perhaps Bash if you're unfamiliar with it. Other questions are likely to be in Java or SQL. The next assignment is more open-ended and you'll have more time to complete a single, more complex problem.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Intuit (Mountain View, CA) in Dec 2025
Interview
4 stages via Uptime Crew (each stage is elimination based). Namely Coding Challenge, 1:1 with recruiter, Build Challenge (Kind of Project), 1:1 Tech Screen.
If above rounds are cleared then 1 final round with Intuit manager and software engineer. If cleared, then team matching phase.
