Standard interview process, but refreshingly smooth and low-key. Phone screen, culture fit calls with managers, and a technical interview. Great communication throughout the process. Interviews flowed naturally and the questions asked made sense and had a purpose.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Ion Channel (Alexandria, VA) in Dec 2015
Interview
I was introduced to Ion Channel via a friend I worked with at a previous company. Initially I corresponded with the Owner who forwarded my resume to the CTO and Chief Engineer. I interviewed over the phone with the Chief Engineer and then the CTO that was very technical. They both asked me very detailed questions on deployment processes and infrastructure as code. They both liked what I had to say and I then met in person the Owner for a final interview that seemed to be more work ethic related. I was told at the final interview that they wanted to hire me and that I would be emailed an offer letter shortly.
