I applied online. I interviewed at Irrational Labs (Boston, MA)
Interview
Meeting with CGO, then an exam, then meeting with each managing director. The interview with the CGO was more casual but also included some behavioral science questions. The managing directors used a structured format that felt a little cold.

Question 1
A company wants to use behavioral science, they think its sexy. What do you do?
I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Irrational Labs
Interview
Quick to apply (can't remember if there was a cover letter, but I think just a resume). I didn't hear anything for months and had even forgotten I'd applied when I got an email inviting me to interview. The interview timing got shifted around and the interviewer apparently hadn't read their notes and thought I was someone else. I got offered a take-home case study at the end in a weirdly informal way - and only half the case study. Then I had no response after I submitted it; when I inquired a couple of weeks later I got rejected via voice note.

Question 1
Pretty standard "tell me your background and why you're interested in this job" type stuff. The case study was a behavioral design task. The main part of the task was quite fun, but required the candidate to choose an app to focus on (rather than being given a real or fictional app as part of the task, which is what I would have expected based on other similar tasks I've done), which introduced a lot of extra time and, critically, a lot of bias into the task.
