JAMSAN HOTEL MANAGEMENT interview questions

Interviewed for the DOS position at the Best Western Plus in Portsmouth, NH in July of 2019. During first interview I was asked my salary requirement. I provided it. I was then called back for a second 90 minute interview leading me to believe my salary requirement was acceptable. A week later I received a job offer for 20% less than my stated salary requirement- which was a big chunk. They would not meet my salary, so I declined the position. Fast forward 7 months later to February 2020 and the Reg. Ops Director from Jamsan reaches out to me to ask if I would reconsider the same "opportunity" from 7 months ago. I responded I would as long as it was understood my salary requirement was the same. He responded affirmatively. When the call ended, I sent him an email reiterating my salary requirement because I did not want a repeat of last year. Two days later he called to confirm the interview at one of their hotels. I pull in on time for my interview- and just as I get there the Regional Ops Director calls to tell me he is running late. Took him the better part of 30 minutes to arrive. Literally 3 minutes into our conversation he asks me if I'll take 5K less. I said no. Then he started justifying his budget and I couldn't believe it. I felt duped! I have a budget too, and I made it clear what salary I needed to come work for them. If Jamsan can't afford my salary- they should just move on to the next candidate instead of deliberately wasting my time during a busy workday and haggling with me over 5K. They want someone who can bring in big revenue to a hotel in dire need of refurbishment- but they are not willing to pay for the experience needed to do that. To add insult to all of this, at the end of the interview the RDO tells me they are interviewing one more person and he will get back to me. What?!? I have now turned down this DOS position TWICE. To add to the dismal salary, they only give one weeks paid vacation, and the medical insurances as explained by the RDO cost an employee $600 a month for single person coverage. (That's COBRA territory) This is my last roller coaster ride with Jamsan Hotel Mgt. Totally disingenuous.
