Interview
This company also houses "PayPay", which is the company that I applied for.
The interview process was cold and calculative. They did a simple resume review and proposed a coding challenge. I never once talked to a human in the whole process.
The particular coding challenge isn't difficult but very time consuming. You have to sign up for some "fixer" account to access the api. However, most of the functions of the API is locked behind a paywall. DO NOT PAY FOR THIS SERVICE. Paying for the service and unlocking more features does not guarantee that you will do well. The coding solution took me about 6 - 8 work hours in total to do.
When I submitted my solution, I was given an email a couple of days later stating that I had failed to get to the next level with no feedback on my solution. I'm sorry but that's dirty. You don't force applicants to spend hours on something and give them no feedback as to why they passed or failed. This shows that the company doesn't value your time, so don't waste yours on a company that treats applicants like this.
