I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Johns Hopkins Health System (Baltimore, MD) in Jun 2011
Interview
The interview was very informal. The PI had a general conversation about my previous work, and what I expected of my new job. The focus of the interview however was more on how they couldn't offer as much as I deserved. Very few technical questions were asked, however I did get to see the lab so I got a feel of whether I liked the kind of work they did.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Some questions were asked about my personal life, that aimed at relocation of my family etc.
The surgical faculty talked to me on zoom for an interview and asked about my previous research experience. Most of the questions he had were coming from my CV. It is a research job working in basic science but you don't really need to have certain lab technique skill. MD degree is proffered.
