I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Johnson Matthey (Wayne, PA) in Dec 2017
Interview
Laid back. Showed up to their Wayne, PA building for a presentation and to be able to get to know some of the employees. Took a tour and was able to ask a ton of questions. Ate breakfast and lunch their and then had the interview. The interview wasn't traditional in that the interviewer did not ask many common questions. He asked about my resume and what I thought of the tour and then I controlled the rest of the interview by asking questions. Lasted less than 10 minutes for just about everyone interviewing that day.
You pass through all the levels of the department, from the shift supervisor to the manager. All in one day, what is great. Also, you have to answer a knowledge process/chemistry test. Human Resources attention is great.

Interview
The managers don't know how to interview people. They asked a bunch of behavioral questions. They are only looking for good storytellers instead of people who can work actually. The worst experience I ever had.
Thank you for your feedback on your interview with JM. We are sorry to hear you had a negative experience - while our interview teams do incorporate competency-based and situational judgement questions into their process, we do appreciate you highlighting our areas of improvement during the technical portion.

Interview
Attended a group interview day where we were given a presentation along with an introduction of the company. After was a plant tour and then individual interviews. There were a total of three different interviewers, all which were plant supervisors and were once process control engineers.
