Had an amazing first interview, met with two people and they told me they wanted to move forward with next steps and wanted me to come in for another round of interviews. They sent me an email to do a Caliper test as a formality. The test seemed dated and as if it were from the 1980’s. I received a call the next day telling me they were no longer interested based on the test results. I have a hard time understanding how a 180 multiple choice questionnaire of subjective b.s. can determine whether someone will be a good employee. If you want to decide how well I will fit into your culture, let’s sit down and have a conversation. If you are going to put that much weight on a dated multiple choice test, this tells me there is a lot of inefficiency in your organization. I suggest you treat your candidates like humans, not robots. For a company that boasts itself on having a great culture, you certainly showed your true colors. Good luck finding well qualified candidates.
