Applied through a recruiter who arranged interview. Arrived and had 15 min odd discussion with one interviewer who was attending the interview, Interview seemed to talk over me whilst waiting...a sign of things to come?
2nd Interviewer arrived and interview began. No structure to the interview with line of questioning seemed all over the place. 1st Interviewer kept interrupting and asking different questions on different topics throwing me off completely from what 2nd interviewer was asking.
Asked what I want out of the role. What are the "do wants" and "don't wants"....tricky question to answer when you don't even know the team or the company well enough.
As a result of their questioning methods, began to get anxious and flustered when trying to answer questions.
Seems they do not offer hybrid working and wanted someone in the office 5 days a week.
Told that they would make a decision the next day as they had further interviews to conduct when leaving.
Follow up made by recruitment firm as they called to ask how interview went. Responded via email saying that if there was no negotiation to allow hybrid working, then I would need to withdraw application. Had no further contact with KFP or recruitment firm. Seem to of been ghosted.
If I had known that there was to be no possibility of hybrid working, I would not have applied. As a result, felt like a waste of time for everyone. However if someone from the business reads this, I would strongly advise that they review their interview methods to ensure that they are consistent from one applicant to another.
