The process took 1 day. I interviewed at KPMG (London, England) in Jun 2011
Interview
Interview took place at Canary Wharf. Met with an associate director for a financial modelling test. It lasted one hour and required basic excel skills. This was quite easy but dull. Short conversation afterwards to explain thinking behind my solution. Associate Director seemed reasonably bright - a recent hire at KPMG having previously been at Deloitte. There followed an hour with the partner who demonstrated some bizarre behaviours. The partner's most revealing remark was contemptuously dismissive of the unfortunate associate director who had conveyed me to this session. It seemed a harsh way to behave in front of a complete stranger (ie me!) and certainly not the way to convince a complete stranger to come and work for her organisation. The following conversation was intriguing and we agreed that a further discussion would be worthwhile, but I knew that I couldn't work for this individual and, happily, I don't have to.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at KPMG (Leeds, England) in Oct 2024
Interview
First stage two-on-one followed by a presentation to a partner and director. Both a very open and constructive conversation. Presentation was scenario-based with a good grilling afterwards. Every interviewer was encouraging though pressed on details.

Some people have a case study but I did not.
The process can be very slow.
Helpful to have a contact to keep pressure on the recruiting / admin team.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at KPMG (Dublin, Dublin) in Jun 2024
Interview
The recruiting process is painfully slow and keeps on dragging. Main reason being - as told by one of their directors - they are inexperienced with SAP consulting recruitment and are a bit lost with levels and remuneration etc. The talent recruiter is not bothered at all about candidate experience. Worst of all, I get a voicemail after 4 weeks after I emailed a few times asking for clarification of my candidature saying that “they aren’t moving ahead with me” and that too with no particular reason specified. After a follow up email asking for feedback, I am hit by silence all over again. No response, it has been more than a week now. I would not consider KPMGIreland as a prospective employer. They don’t get it that they are dealing with a Consultant with 25 years of expertise!
