      I interviewed at KPMG

      Interview

Simple application procedure. Had to do the standard tests, numerical, possibly verbal as well. I remember numerical being fairly difficult so just stick with it. Following this I was offered a telephone interview. Pretty standard competency questions, interspersed with some situational questions. One question asked whether, when working on-site for a client, even if they pressed particularly hard I should let them see documents that were still required to go through draft finalisation. Also some commercial awareness questions, examples required. Interview was with an actual line manager of the firm which I felt gave the applicant more of a chance to display commercial awareness knowledge and interest in the sector and meant the interview had more of a flow and conversational nature compared to those just with HR. Passed this interview and got to AC. AC started early, no group exercised, in-tray and e-tray, no real prior preparation needed other than familiarisation with process. Role play exercises with actors. Found this difficult as the fact they were actors meant they have limited knowledge and so requires quite a specific action.
