The first interview was a standard HR conversation. Following this, I had a technical interview with an engineer. They reviewed my CV and provided some context. The engineer expressed satisfaction with my skills.
Subsequently, I participated in a second technical interview with two engineers from another team. The focus of this interview was primarily on Kafka, with some questions about Spring.
I was somewhat surprised by the simplicity of the questions and found it difficult to understand the selection criteria. After five days, I received an email informing me that another candidate had been chosen. Unfortunately, this lack of transparency is common in the German job market.
I am curious to see who they ultimately selected, I will check their LinkedIn profiles in the upcoming months.
