The entire process took 7 months. I applied to the job in March, in April I was notified that I was not selected. The job posting was still up in July, so I decided to submit the same application. A month later, I received a written exam in my email to take consisting of three PR-related questions. Two weeks after that, I was brought in for a 50 minute graphic design exam where I designed a fake piece of promotional print material, then an hour long group interview with 7 interviewers. This was a difficult interview, as normally I like to turn interviews into 2-way conversations so I can get a better idea about the culture, but this was nearly impossible to do with so many interviewers. A week later, they invited me back for another exam the following week, almost exactly the same as the first except this one was a "blind exam" where they didn't attach my name to my work. This was frustrating since it was so similar to the first exam, I really wish they thought through their need for a blind test beforehand so I could have done it in the first place. 2 weeks later, I received an automated rejection email with no indication on what I could have improved upon. I understand you can't always give personalized advice, but after such a long process where I dedicated so many hours of my time, I really expected a personal phone call or email.
