Kite Packaging interview questions

In the lead up to my first in person interview (including both a telephone and teams interview), i could not have been more impressed with the communication from this company. Joey was incredibly helpful and quick in responding and arranging things. My first face to face interview left me with a similar impression - the interview was a little unstructured and i was surprised to be greeted with 2 interviewers (i was told it would be with 1 person) but i felt it was a pleasant experience. The interviewers were nice and we had a good conversation that culminated in them asking me when i would be able to start. Unfortunately, my second interview with Andy was a rather different experience. He greeted me with ‘(my school name) boy’ which came across as very standoffish and set the tone for the interview. He proceeded to ask me peculiar questions such as where i was born and subsequently asked me 5 follow up questions digging into why i moved primary school at age 8, the topic he seemed most interested in. Following this, he asked me how i would manage my time in my ‘first real job’. I found this to be very rude and demeaning, considering i have 5 years work experience at 19. Throughout the duration of the interview Andy came across as very condescending and dismissive and it was not a pleasant experience. I understand that Andy does not represent the company as a whole, but this was very disappointing nonetheless made me feel incredibly uneasy and unwelcome. Following this, i received confirmation that they had progressed with a different candidate. It was further disappointing that my request for feedback of any kind was entirely ghosted. What started as a positive and encouraging experience quickly turned unsavoury and granted me a feeling of relief upon hearing i had been unsuccessful.

Strange interview. The questions were largely completely unrelated to the job and at times, some quite inappropriate or personal (asking about money, family background, or asking us to judge our fellow candidates' performance). The original job advertisement was quite vague and at the assessment day, they seemed to be looking for quite a different candidate to what had previously been advertised. There was a requirement to speak foreign languages, yet some candidates did not speak any of the languages advertised. They only expensed a fraction of my costs incurred.
