I applied via their website and the HR then contacted me via an email and then sent me a test link of Qualified. I did the test in Python and was able to do all the questions in less than an hour with proper structure and readability. I just emailed the HR who sent me the link about my test completion. The very next day, I got a reply from her that I didn't perform well in the test. I was like WTF! How is this even possible? Because I did all the questions right and also the structure was good enough. It's impossible. But, still I thought that I might be missing something. So, I mailed the HR back regarding the feedback on what exactly went wrong in my code and why was I not selected. She replied, "All I can tell is your code doesn't meet our standards." and that was it. I again insisted her quoting my strong coding background and about pending offers from several other reputable companies, which are a testimonial of my skills and insisted her to at least tell me the reason of where exactly my code was bad? I wanted to know whether some tests failed, or the design or structure was bad or did I miss a corner case etc. But, no she said Klarna policy doesn't allows them to give feedback.
I started feeling something fishy about the process. I really don't think they have the levels of transparency that I'd expect from a professional. Knowing feedback after a coding test on insisting so many times, is a candidate's right. And, HRs represent a company. They could have talked in a better way!
I an not an EU-citizen. Perhaps, that was the actual reason. Who knows! I asked them when can I apply back, she told after 12-months. I just told them thanks and goodbye! I won't sit idle for Klarna for 12-months. Lol. xD
All the best team Klarna. But, I'd suggest not to make such a behavior with other candidates, doesn't look good, honestly. :)
