I met with multiple people on the ecomm team including the VP. She met with me individually and then with others from her team. She took over the entire interview never allowing the others to ask questions or interject, and they often would discredit or correct what she was saying about how the team functioned. No one seemed on the same page about any process or operation. The entire company is incredibly dated and behind.
I had an hour-long phone interview and went to their office multiple twice for interviews. At the end of my 2nd interview they did what they call a "background check" where a man takes you into a small dark room and asks you to recite and confirm everything on your resume that he then handwrites on a form, former addresses, and then asks ridiculous questions like "What's the most expensive thing you've ever stolen from an employer?" It feels like an interrogation. When I replied that I had never stolen from an employer, he pushed further as if he was going to get me to admit something. The only thing missing from this was a lie detector.
After all of this and weeks of interviews, the recruiter contacted me to say that they would be putting the position on hold. I would never recommend even entertaining taking an interview here.
