I applied online. I interviewed at Lacework (Mountain View, CA) in Apr 2023
Interview
Technical assessment was easy to do. However, the interviewer for system design was rude and not cooperative. Didn't even make eye contact with me. She was a desi and very impolite. Like a school principal. Not recommend interviewing with her given another chance.

Question 1
Letcode style medium level and system design was vague and the interviewer even didn't know what she wanted.
Multiple rounds of coding interviews. They misled me about my last interview, telling me that it would be a "product design" interview (which they said would revolve around designing a product with a focus on the user experience). But it turned out to be a normal system design interview for cloud architecture. Maybe their interviewers didn't communicate with each other.

Question 1
Lots of React and JS questions. Nothing too crazy.
Recruiter phone screening followed by 1 hour Technical Screening. I was given two question both easy - medium level questions. I was able to solve both the questions. I believed I did really well and I was expecting that I will at least make it to the on-site round. But I got a rejection the next day. I am not sure what went wrong or what was missing. There was communication, I was thinking out loud, giving examples while writing functions wasn't good enough for very high standards of Lacework I suppose. I didn't mind getting the rejection especially if it was a bad interview but my interview was really good so I asked for a feedback to my recruiter, as expected I am ghosted. (I can understand recruiters are way too busy and can't be bothered with providing a feedback). Really bad experience.
