Interview
Lastmile’s interview process is fantastic. You will have a fair chance to be evaluated.
For me there was a phone screen to talk about yourself.
Then a technical coding question. Mostly to see that you can code, and speak though your process and see how you solve issues and iterate on them.
Then I had an on-site consisting of:
- Front end design questions and whiteboarding with the senior front end engineer. Things like “how would you make a div which these children layout like x? Okay, what if we want to to now be like this now?” A few more general front end questions, practical good questions.
- Backend/coding with the senior back end engineer.
Good question to write a simple, actual business logic function. A follow up question on validation, and writing a test! I loved this one. Wish more places asked you this.
