Scheduled a call with a recruiter approximately 3 weeks after applying. Had a quick 30-minute call, and talked about my experiences in SEO, project management, etc.
The recruiter bragged about how Lending Tree was allotting a great deal of budget towards their SEO team, then gagged when I gave them my salary expectation. This was amusing given every other company I've talked to has exceeded my salary expectation by at least $8000.
The recruiter did note that there would be a project, and this project would be a paid project – which is the first time a company has offered to pay for my time on one of these projects. I did admire that aspect of the process.
