Interview
I applied for a job at a brand new store via the website took a few weeks to receive an email inviting me to a first stage interview which was a group interview they just told us a bit about the company then we got a one and one. 2 hours after the interview I received a call inviting me 2 a 2nd interview walked around with the new store manager he talked about the daily routines then I went in 2 the office with the area manager who then offered me the position
Very straightforward process.
One person interviewed me and asked a few questions.
Did not last more than an hour, if that.
I had one interview and then an offer was made.
Phone interview and then in person interview. Pretty quick and easy and doesn’t take long to hear back. Questions are pretty standard like ‘why Lidl?’ and ‘what’s your favourite item we sell’. Also a few scenario based questions.
I applied online. I interviewed at Lidl (Cardiff, Wales) in Jan 2026
Interview
Really nice manager and chill atmosphere. Didn't ask me any scenario based questions or any that I had to provide a "star" like paragraph; more focused on how prepared/ committed/ able you are to do a lot of work.
