Very straightforward process.
One person interviewed me and asked a few questions.
Did not last more than an hour, if that.
I had one interview and then an offer was made.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Lidl (Eltham, England) in Oct 2015
Interview
Process took less than two weeks. Pretty simple and formal. Mainly talking about you and to assess if you suite in the job. First was with store manager and second interview was with area manager following a work trial combination of light work show and calculations. I was told to tidy up a section of veg and fruit for 5 minutes and then manager shown me a pallet of juice and asked to count how many boxes there. Simple multi fixation
Phone interview and then in person interview. Pretty quick and easy and doesn’t take long to hear back. Questions are pretty standard like ‘why Lidl?’ and ‘what’s your favourite item we sell’. Also a few scenario based questions.
I applied online. I interviewed at Lidl (Cardiff, Wales) in Jan 2026
Interview
Really nice manager and chill atmosphere. Didn't ask me any scenario based questions or any that I had to provide a "star" like paragraph; more focused on how prepared/ committed/ able you are to do a lot of work.
