      Supervisor Interview

      Jan 10, 2026
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Life Time

      Interview

Initially, the process was handled professionally and respectfully, via a recruiter. She was objective and moved me to a second round, which is where things became different. Another woman immediately started the interview in a prejudiced manner and clearly had not read through my resume. She could have better highlighted my experience and accomplishments, but she focused on trivial manners, which I had a fair and truthful explanation for. She proceeded to pick apart answers to questions that other interviewers have said that I answer well. At this time, she mentions she will visit the location I’m applying to the following week but fails to mention that she is interviewing people then. The recruiter reaches out to me a week later and asks if I can attend an in-person interview on 1-2 days’ notice. I unfortunately could not make arrangements on such short notice and they offered to reschedule. However, the recruiter did not reply, and I had to follow up twice for a response. She did not offer a new date; instead, she said they were still interviewing other candidates. Two weeks later, they tell me the applicant pool was competitive. However, the position is still open, and they recently reposted it with no requirements. This is for a field where you need to fulfill requirements for liability and compliance purposes. I never complained about scheduling, pay, the company, or the possibility of travel. I was very excited about the possibility of working for the company, but the unprofessionalism of them lying about why I was declined an offer and the ghosting after my second interview was unprofessional. They seem to prefer “perfect” candidates who have not taken time off for medical conditions, a layoff, taking care of family, etc or even shifting companies more than once in a decade. I later applied for another position I’m qualified for. I was immediately rejected for a “competitive applicant pool,” then told a week later that I don’t meet the requirements. I truly did not understand the need for a second rejection notice. This is the only company where I have felt disrespected and prejudiced against during an interview.
