got rejected without an explanation ... I have a pretty impressive resume... would have loved to know why...but they didnt give any feedback. Just a rejection email about a week later..

First off, the salon, facilities were amazing, very clean and beautiful. I met with the hiring manager and from the moment I met her to the moment the interview stopped it felt like a sales pitch the entire time. She didn’t stop talking, it felt very impersonal, she didn’t ask much about my qualifications or experience. Mostly general basic information she asked (availability, schedule). We took a tour of the facilities and than she bought me a shake. I left wanting to feel good and wanted to give it a chance, but deep down knowing this didn’t seem all it was cracked up to be. Reluctantly, I went against my better judgement and went for the second interview which was to demonstrate my skill sets as a stylist, the manager didn’t stay much to observe or ask questions about my work.. she did ask once why I chose the formula I did for the color.. so after I was finishing up my work she had a meeting and made sure to emphasize that I must memorize the companies “mission statement “ for my 3rd and finale interview and she also stated that I need to explain to Bret the CEO “ how I’m gonna bring in business for the company’”… it came off very cultish.. they also want you to market yourself in other departments so your basically a sales person!!
