I recently attended an online interview with Lifewood, and unfortunately, the experience was highly unprofessional and poorly organized.
First, the interview invitation was sent with less than 48 hours' notice, leaving little time to prepare. Upon joining, I was surprised to find out it was a group interview, even though this was never communicated beforehand. All applicants present were equally confused, as we had all assumed it was a one-on-one interview. The lack of clarity and communication about the format set the wrong tone from the start.
The interview itself began with minimal introductions from the HR representative and the project manager. Without much context or explanation, they immediately asked everyone to introduce themselves. There was zero effort to create a welcoming or professional atmosphere, making the experience awkward and disorganized.
To add to this, they informed us during the interview that shortlisted candidates would need to go through an unpaid 3-day trial probation, and its purpose is to determine if we would be taken on after the trial. This feels exploitative and disrespectful of candidates' time and effort.
The communication throughout the process was done entirely via text messages, showing great lack of professionalism in handling candidates.
Overall, my experience was disappointing and left me questioning the company’s values and approach to talent acquisition. I would caution anyone considering applying to Lifewood to manage their expectations and proceed with caution.
