I was informed that there will be 2 rounds of interview and only one person will be taken to the second round. That effectively meant the first round was similar to final interview. I was really interested in the role as it had a huge scope to make a difference. The role required focus on marine as well as oil & gas. My experience was in marine with limited oil & gas experience. My efforts to get feedback about my skills and experiences against the requirements just got a 'we will review internally and get back'. I asked each time if they are comfortable with my ability to perform in the role and just got the same answer. However, my interview over shot the time by 20 mins which seemed positive. A week later I was informed that I was not chosen for the second round. I asked for a feedback and the one I got was they went with one who had more oil and gas experience.
