The interview process at Localyze was generally very well managed by the HR team, credit where credit is due. The first round was a standard experience round with some semi-technical Product questions. The second round was a more in-depth technical / product sense round with the CPO, which was enjoyable and thorough. The third round was a presentation and Q&A (1 hour) of a 'Product development process' I had previously managed and delivered. This was also enjoyable and thorough. However, once being approved for the final round for a culture fit with the CTO & CEO, just 1 hour before this interview, I was emailed saying the entire role had been cancelled in due to changes in internal structure. Considering the large technical challenges and tasks through this 5 week process, I'm apalled that this is the way this has ended up. Generally, whilst the process itself was handled well, this represents a lack of foresight in the company's hiring needs and has come at a large cost to myself and likely other candidates. Judging by other reviews below, this is not the first time this has happened.
