London Electric Cars interview questions

Had a good initial telephonic interview after which I was called in for a “trial day”. Worked 10-6 on the trial day, everything seemed great and was offered a full-time role after waiting for 3 weeks. I was excited to work for a startup, which is why I accepted their offer, and even handed in notice to my current employer. Then I got a random email saying that the “position is no longer available because the investors don’t want then to recruit new people”. It was not only unprofessional, but quite unethical as well. They didn’t even bother giving me call, and also refused to compensate me for working on the trial day. I have immense respect for the work they do and I hope they do great, but the whole hiring process was appalling. If anyone is even considering the prospect of applying to any vacancy advertised by this company, my advice would be to reconsider. Not worth the time and effort.
