I was treated like complete garbage in the interview. The interview lasted for six minutes. I was interviewed by a Principal and a person from their central office. I was interrupted while speaking on several occasions. At one point the man sat up at the table (somewhat in my face) and cut me off in mid-sentence to ask another question. It felt like more of an intimidation tactic. He would often look away or on his phone. It was a very negative experience. I walked out of that school knowing that I would not be returning under any circumstances. There is a such thing as a tough interview (which is totally acceptable) and then there is a person that feels like they can treat you like trash because you are being interviewed (like a power struggle). I also felt like the other person in the room was highly uncomfortable with how I was being treated by this person. I was very close to leaving the interview but I just decided to stay and be the professional person. I should have known that it would not have been a good experience because when I was first contacted by the secretary at the school she was extremely nasty with me. They only offer you one interview time (make it or lose out). Most progressive places will offer you more than one considering your schedule as well. I had a medical procedure and did not want to change the date but ended up having to just to have an interview that was very short and very rude. I am a firm believer that how you are treated in the interview says a lot about what your experience will be at that place. My advice would be to pay attention.
