I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Lush
Interview
Emailed my resume and cover letter to the store. Got an email back inviting me to a hiring party. There were about 10 other girls. We spilt into pairs and did "demos" on each other. They just want to see that you're able to hold a conversation really and obtain information. The employees walked around listening while the manager held very short interviews outside. Was asked why do you want to work here, what would you do if your co-worker was in a bad mood, typical interview questions but really short.
A group interview with around 10 other candidates for a seasonal role, with 4 management staff running role play type tasks alongside a full introduction to the brand, ethos and values. Sections focused more on creating fun and memorable interactions and building rapport- it felt fun and expressive, and reflective of the brands inclusive and welcoming ethos.
(And we all got a goody bag at the end!)
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I was asked to come prepared to speak for a few minutes on a subject I felt passionately about. For this task, we were partnered with 1 other candidate and then had to describe to the group the topic our partner discussed.
had to do a two hour trial shift and was assessed based on what happened during the shift and how customers where approached, was told to demo everything such as bath bombs and massage bars
First we had a group interview, we played some games and interact with each other, also have some small talk. And the staff would select some to have in-person interview to and ask some questions. Then they will give youa trial shift to see how you welcome the customers and decide whether you are successful.
