Standard recruitment process for a tech company. Recruiter screen, HM interview, take home assessment. Recruiter was responsive and the rounds progressed fast. Take home assessment takes 6-10 hours to complete.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Lyft (Nashville, TN) in Dec 2021
Interview
Awful and Poor candidate experience. The interview process was standard and formal for the industry practice however lengthy for an entry-level role. There were three interview screenings. Recruiter Phone Call, Team Manager, and then video Behavioral Interview. However, the last interview was broken into 3-4 segments which can take 2-3 hours.
A huge lack of communication and disorganisation. My recruiter forgot to send important meeting details which prompted me to reach out. The interviews are spread out, I started interviewing in early December and the final interview was in late January. After following up after the interview, Lyft recruiters ghosted me. It's disrespectful, to say the least, because I feel as if I wasted my entire time when I could have met with another company. To be put through their lengthy interview process and not even be informed that I was not selected is a slap in the face. It's just courtesy. A standard automatic email would have even been enough. But it reflects on how Lyft operates as an organization. I've seen other reviews that say similar things.
It makes me dislike Lyft and its platform altogether. Not because I wasn't selected, but in the manner they handle candidates. My advice to the talent team, take tips from Uber.
