The hiring manager arrived very late without acknowledgment and spent most of the conversation emphasizing how difficult the role was and how unlikely it would be to find anyone qualified, without showing real interest in my background. Since then, the position has been repeatedly reposted, which raises concerns about whether it was a genuine opening or a ghost posting.
First impressions matter. Even if a role is challenging, interviews should be professional, two way discussions that evaluate mutual fit. Posting jobs without a clear intent to hire not only damages candidate trust but also the company’s reputation in the market.
