I applied for Continuous Improvement Specialist position in January 2018. I got my first call interview very quickly. It went really well. Positive feedback received. I was referred to the next stage which was face to face interview. It also went well and i got additional 2 stages (calls with US). Each of them went very well and I even heard that I am preferred candidate during one of them. People were very friendly. After my last call I did not hear from MSD in 2 weeks. I sent an email where I got response that hiring manager did not make a decision yet. It was weird as one of the interviews was with person who was acting as Manager for this department and I was told that they were in process of hiring person. Another 2 weeks passed and I emailed them again to find out that Hiring manager still did not make a decision.
After over 6 weeks I got unsuccessful email. At this stage I was so frustrated with the company and I would not accept the offer. Firstly they asked me to got through so many stages where each Interview took some time to prepare. If they were not sure why to put candidate under such presser and not to thank after second one? I must have been good candidate though? I had experience, knowledge, education, training.
I knew that I did not get a job as I saw advertisement updated in job alerts 2 days before I receive an email.
I would not think that company like MSD can treat candidates in such a bad way. Ignore them for weeks. But of course to put you thorough next stages and organising Interviews they were very good at this. Also during interviews I was told that this position is vacant for at least 6 months now and they want to move quickly and get someone. So if this is true why do you keep people waiting for so many weeks with an answer? This is not something that decent company does.
As a candidate my experience was positive until they kept me waiting for so long without any update from MSD side.
Waste of time!!!!
