    Easy Interview

    Application

    Interview

distracted. interviewer gave the impression that he wasn't listening to a word I said even when I was responding to a direct question. interviewer also glossed over questions I had about the position by giving pat responses . for example: well we'll cover that when you start. Several red flags I should have heeded

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Magna Power Electronics (Flemington, NJ) in July 2014.

    Interview

The whole process was very awkward. I have been in my profession for close to a decade. I was given a task to sketch an isometric drawing. Ok no biggy,so I completed the task. I was then given a math quiz. I got all I the but last question correct. The kicker was I was to do all of the math in my head. When I went to pick up the pencil to do some quick math on the last problem, I was ridiculed and given a math lesson. I felt so fortunate that what I later found out that the " Warden" of the prison. Was giving me this lesson. Later while taking the tour through the facility. It was pretty much his way or the highway, and not Interested in new process methodologies. To keep things short when the one son and plant manager asked me questions, I deffinatley knew this was not the place I wanted to work. I knowingly blew the last questions. Happy to say I did not get any communications from magma power.

    Interview

Typical interview, they were nice at first. They give you a tools test to see If you can crimp a lug on a wire. The interview process has changed significantly since I first interviewed. The operations manager has since left the company after a falling out

    Difficult Interview

    Application

The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Magna Power Electronics in February 2012.

    Interview

Initial contact was through Linkedin by networking with colleagues who know people employed there. First was a twenty minute phone screen which I passed as then invited to a face-to-face interview. The interview was somewhat difficult as the two hiring managers met with had completely different perspective on the job specs and how they wanted them to performed. This made for a some tension as I was trying to do a balancing act between the two. Unfortunately, an offer was not forthcoming. The reason was that I did not have semi-conductor experience. I had managed various types of inventory in different industries - consumer goods (health and beauty aids, household products and food), chemicals and paper/pulp - always delivered major improvements for the company. Guess they could not see the forest from the trees.
