For their first round they didn’t call me at all and instead made me come to their “office” in spinningfields…. Aka a communally shared office. I arrived 20 mins early and they came down to collect me from reception >10 minutes late. The interview itself was conducted in a noisy break out area so often struggled to hear the director and the manager.
The more senior member seemed to be more focussed on telling me about the business than about learning more about me. When I actually had the chance to contribute to the conversation I gave my breakdown of earnings and back book of clients the more senior member turned it into a competition with him rather than again using that as a chance to learn more about me.
At the point where I asked about their system and lead source I was told by the director they have an almost 100% lead:conversion ratio which implausible for a company in a shared work space, with “long standing employees underperforming compared to new additions” & who’s system makes an advisor duplicate admin over and over and over again.
Such a poor impression was given of the company from start to finish.
I left completely confused as to why on earth I took a few hours out of my working day to talk to a company like this.
The company took 2-3 weeks to get to the next stage which was irrelevant given I’d already accepted a far higher paying role at a growing company who actually cared about me and not just trying to put me down so I’d accept their lower salary & commission package.
