I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Mars (Hackettstown, NJ) in Nov 2010
Interview
First two rounds were phone interviews - HR was generic, but the Marketing interviewer was rather difficult and cynical. The questions asked were significantly different from those asked for any other marketing openings, such as "Tell me about a time when a crossfunctional went against you." After an hour found out that I was moving forward to a final round in Hackettstown.
There were two 2on1 interviews, constituting of more tough questions asking about failed projects, issues with management, dysfunctional crossfunctionals, and managing issues between teammates. The most negative interview I've ever had, with very cold interviewers. Impossible to get a read on people, and they all looked like they'd rather shoot themselves than sit there for the interviews; sadly many of these people were the hiring managers. Not a good sign.

Question 1
Tell me when a crossfunctional sabotaged one of your projects, what did you do?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Mars (Franklin, TN) in Feb 2023
Interview
Very unprofessional panel interview with three employees that felt extremely unprepared. The highest ranking woman on the panel called me by my last name instead of my first even after I corrected her. The second ranking male on the call asked me a question and didn't let me finish before correcting my response. He also beat his chest and said "Let's GOOOO" when he liked one of the responses I gave. He also rolled his eyes and poked fun at the "Mars" questions that HR "forced" him to ask me. The third and lowest ranking female was polite and asked fine questions, however, I was very thrown off by the behavior of the other two and felt like it affected my ability to interview as well as I normally would have.

Question 1
What are some popular marketing trends you see today? What are some companies you think market themselves well? Suppose your best friend was launching a chapstick company & Walmart wanted to carry the product, but they needed 8 SKUs in order to do so. What would you recommend doing if you didn't agree on the number of SKUs? (Very odd question)

I applied through college or university. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Mars (Nashville, TN) in Jul 2022
Interview
The interview process was fairly standard. It involved a screener with HR, then two rounds of interviews with the brand team where they asked similar behavioral questions. There were a couple of small case questions as well about what actions you would take in certain scenarios.

Question 1
All the questions were related to the Mars principles and standard "Tell me about a time" questions.
Contacted by the recruiting manager for an info interview. During the video interview he made minimal attempts at eye contact and seemed distracted throughout. Then at the end of the interview said that he would be "honest" with me and that after looking over my resume he didn't want to hire me....so then why even interview me and waste 30 mins? Very condescending.
