The interview started well with general background and experience level questions. Information regarding the job was provided. However, I was asked a series of questions regarding what my spouse did for a living, which was not information I wanted to talk about, but couldn't get out of the conversation. I was asked what my spouse did for a living, which was military related. The interviewing manager proceeded to ask what branch of military, what base they were stationed at, whether they were staff or a student at that base, and so on. After answering those questions, the manager said to me that they didn't want somebody who was going to end up moving. Unfortunately, despite being familiar with the technology used at MWHC, patient demographic, and years of overall acute nursing experience, my spouse's job clearly became the deciding factor. I would encourage military spouse nurses in the area to consider elsewhere.

I received a phone call several days after I submitted an application. The recruiter asked several questions about what I was looking for and then set up an interview about a week later.
