      Associate Engineer In EDG Interview

      I applied through college or university. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at MathWorks (Rūpnagar, Punjab) in Sep 2017

      Interview

      5 rounds: 1. Behavioral questions round. 2. Online coding test. 3. Technical interview 4. Managerial interview 5. HR Interview In the behavioral round, they ask you typically 5 questions regarding why you want to join Mathworks and your introduction. You have to send them recorded answers to these questions. Online coding test was lengthy. It had MCQ's related to aptitude and the field you choose(mine as computer science), some short coding questions where brute force method also worked in 2 out of 3 languages (C,C++,Java). Also 2 short codes on python or matla are asked. Technical round checks your basic skiils of OOPS, C,C++ language. Some basic code may be asked. It is about 45 minutes round. Managerial round had questions about why you want to join the company and stuff like that. HR round had many situation based questions where you have to quickly answer. After you get selected in HR round, you have a reference check procecdure.

      Some questions in technical round asked were: 1- Given a code snippet, predict the output based on Java exceptions. 2- Why public static void main in Java? 3 - Abstract classes 4 - static variable in a loop output.

      I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at MathWorks (Natick, MA) in Apr 2024

      Interview

      Interview process was four rounds. OA and Hirevue: Sent immediately after applying. OA included leetcode medium and hard, plus some multiple choice. The Hirevue included basic HR type questions and was fairly short. Manager screening: Met with EDG manager, covered the basics of the position and had opportunity to ask questions. Final four hour virtual power day interview: Two hour technical with an EDG engineer. One DP leetcode medium/hard, plus a systems design question. Met with the manager again for an hour to talk about the position more in depth. Finally, met with recruiter for an hour.
