      Customer Success Representative Interview

      Feb 3, 2022
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Boston, MA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at MathWorks (Boston, MA) in Jan 2022

      Interview

Went through 3 phone screens with a team member, recruiter, and the team manager, spanning 3 weeks before the invitation to a 3-hour long virtual interview with 6 people (allegedly). On the day of the virtual interview, the interview was postponed 30 minutes late due to the illness of one interviewer (with no notice in advance). The interview finally started 30 minutes after the originally scheduled time. The interviewer did not bother to introduce herself before jumping into questions. Most questions that were asked had little to no relevance to testing the skills and abilities for the role I was applying for. The recruiter jumped on the interview after, asked questions regarding my references, and introduced the benefits (pretty sure it was just fillers for the 30-minute time frame). The whole virtual process ended within 1 hour without an invitation to speak with other team members as promised. I felt disrespected as a candidate, as they didn't seem to take me seriously as a candidate, especially after going through the month-long interview process. Overall, the interview process speaks a lot about the company and I will never interview here again.
