I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Mattel
Interview
Great Experience! Each person I spoke with was nice and courteous, very informative. I applied online and received an email from the hiring manager. Had a 30 min phone call and then scheduled a 30 min call with the manager of the dept. Felt like i had a good interview. 1 week later they let me know they went with someone with more experience. I felt that was fair and appreciated them getting back to me in a timely manner.

Question 1
What's one thing you didn't like about your job.
What is something you're not great at.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Mattel in Mar 2022
Interview
I was first invited for a back-to-back interview with two different people. I spoke with one interviewer for about 30 minutes and then a different interviewer for 30 minutes (senior manager and marketing director). They were both very friendly and the questions were not too difficult. I was then invited for a second round (final round) interview from a specific team (in this case, the hot wheels group). Again, it was about an hour and had 2 different interviewers back-to-back (associate managers of global brand marketing). It was not too difficult, questions were standard, and I felt like it went well.
I didn't receive an update after two weeks and decided to follow up. I finally got a response from the recruiter who said I was not selected. I wish they had informed me earlier, as they probably wouldn't have contacted me for a long time had I not followed up.
Overall, I had a pretty good experience and they were very organized but was disappointed because I was not selected for the internship.

I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Mattel (Los Angeles, CA) in Mar 2018
Interview
I interviewed at their office in March 2018 after applying through my school job board. I had two 30 minute one-on-one interviews back to back with two different hiring managers.
It was mostly a lot of behavioral questions, varying in difficulty.
I heard back about a week later with no offer. Case question on analyzing a toy was unexpected, and I know I completely bombed that.
