After reading the reviews I wasn’t exactly excited to interview for this place and now I fully understand why. I had an interview with 3 different people via zoom and I was the only one that had my camera on. Apparently none of the rest of them were “camera ready”. Seriously? So I had to give my interview answers to black boxes.
The interview was relatively straight forward with some behavioral questions from the hiring manager and then technical questions for SQL and python. Questions were relatively basic and straight forward. I know I didn’t answer some OOP questions from python correctly since I’ve only programmed in Java & C++ in OOP.
The most humorous (i.e. worst) part was when I got to ask them questions.
Q: can you define success for this position?
A: completing projects.
Q: can you describe the company culture and how it applies to both in-office and remote workers?
A: what do you mean?
The entire interview was a complete joke and I’ve never had a hiring manager not be able to accurately describe the company culture. Needless to say I knew I didn’t want the job and I honestly knew I would never hear from them again which is completely fine with me.
