I applied through college or university. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Medtronic in Nov 2018
Interview
Went through my school (Handshake)
First was a simple HR behavioral interview.
Those that passed went into an application pool for managers to contact and interview (more technical).
The whole process took about 1-2 months (since submitting the application to receiving the offer)
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me one time you had a disagreement with someone and how it ended.
Was casual, and asked a lot of basic behavioral questions, for example why Medtronic, a time of conflict in teams, what would you like to know more about the company and everything that you should expect when doing a behavioral interview
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Medtronic (London, England) in Sep 2024
Interview
I was reached out to by a recruiter and had about 3 interviews, minus the chat with the recruiter. It was a nice experience. Everyone was really friendly and it felt more like a talk amongst colleagues rather than an interrogation. The technical interview went really well as well. We discussed amongst ourselves for a way to solve the problem. And then I talked about the design of a project I created previously (ALWAYS DO PROJECTS!!! They raise your credibility as a software engineer breaking into tech.)
Was shown around the company and I asked a few questions as well. Overall went really well.

Question 1
SDLC, AGILE, TDD, CI/CD, programming in (javascript or python)
I went to a career fair and talked to a recruiter. They made me a top candidate and never got back after the on-spot interview. They did this with a friend too. Looks like they are bad at following up.
