Five panel interview, screen before that. All the regulars, system design, coding, people management, project management. Interviewers were nice and helpful. System design was regular questions. One of the interviewers was really nice and set me up for a success

Unbeknownst to me, the FB recruiter set me up for an IC interview process. And when it became obvious that I was interviewing for the wrong position, the recruiter doubled down on his mistake. How do you consider a senior engineering leader with over 30+ years of experience for an IC role? It's beyond me.
Lesson learned: confirm that the position you're interviewing for is aligned with your expectations.
