    Business Analyst Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Middlebury, VT
    Declined Offer
    Positive Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Middlebury Interactive Languages (Middlebury, VT) in April 2015.

    Interview

The first round interview process was very casual and friendly. I was surprised to be interviewed by the CEO of the company and proceeded to talk about personal interests and how it can connect to this job. The first round interview was more of a conversation rather than a standard interview. The interview took place on my college campus; perhaps this was not one of the ordinary interview settings.

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Middlebury Interactive Languages (Middlebury, VT) in October 2013.

    Interview

I applied via a job board and heard nothing for a couple of months. Then I got a phone call and an email. there was a lot of documentation requested. Then, the training modules were sent

    Interview Questions

    • As part of the training, we had to create a recording of a blackboard session. We also had to explain how we would develop a lesson on a particular piece of the learning process.   Answer Question

    Negotiation

There was no negotiation. The offer is for "part time" work. You get paid $50 per semester per student. This is divided out over five months time, so the way I figure it works out to $1000/month for 100 students. If you do the job properly, you will be working the equivalent of one and a half jobs, but maybe I'm just slow....

    Builder Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Provo, UT
    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Middlebury Interactive Languages (Provo, UT) in November 2010.

    Interview

Set up through a friend who worked for the company. They set up my interview within a week of getting my resume. I was very impressed with how professional, yet friendly the interviewer was. We had the Get Down To Business questions, which were fairly run-of-the-mill, but avoided stupid questions like my greatest weakness. Afterward, we just talked about the job and office culture, which is to say the "real interview," and it was comfortable and informative.

    Interview Questions

    • I conversed with them in the language I was applying to build in. Not unexpected, of course, but they care about language fluency, and will test you on it.   Answer Question

    Negotiation

Company seems open to limited negotiation.
