Did not show up to initial interview, then cancelled rescheduled interview. They were apologetic for the initial cancellation, then provided a fair excuse for the second. Either way, they wasted my time.
- Initial phone screen with HR on behaviours, company culture, salary and benefits
- Follow up technical interview, questions on culture fit, Python and ML
- Later stages on take home problem

Question 1
Q: What is the difference between a list and array in Python?
Q: What is a static method?
Q: Why are you moving from your current role?
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Mind Foundry in Mar 2023
Interview
Interview process entailed an initial phone screen with the head of HR, followed by a 1st round panel interview, and a 2nd round panel interview. Ostensibly there would have been a final interview with the CEO. I was told verbally after my 2nd round interview that I was a great fit for the company and that it was likely we were moving toward an offer after scheduling the final interview with the CEO. The very next day, I received an email indicating they'd found an interesting candidate they wanted to also interview and that we should hold off on next steps for now. Four weeks later after assurances that I was very much still being considered, I was informed by email no next steps would be taken and no final interview would take place. Apparently, this new mystery candidate applied either on the same day I had my 2nd round interview or around that time. Be warned, this company will keep job recs open for new applications deep into the interview process and will string you along as a backup if someone "better" is found even at the 11th hour. I would not recommend such an experience.

Typical questions about your experience, approach to problem solving and team building. Other questions related to the specific role (in my case, bid management). Also culture fit questions about interest in AI and related concepts.
