After my interview experience I am still convinced that Mindler is a great company to work at, with a great cause and ambition. This is my impression of the interview process only, in hope to help Mindler improve it, so do not be discouraged to apply!
I interviewed with a talent acquisition team member first and then with the CPO and a PM. Both interviews were very pleasant and easy going. Some usual questions about experience with teams, stakeholders and methodologies.
The interview with the CPO gave a better background on the challenge at hand, but unfortunately left no time to discuss, ask questions. To my surprise I was reassured that my application process will continue with reference check and the final interview.
Afterwards I followed up with the recruiter for an update on the application process twice, while digging deeper into the domain, challenges and existing scientific research in prep for the final interview, but never got a reply.
Within 10 working days I received a call that I did not get the position. I was not given feedback, only praise that I was a perfect candidate but someone just had more experience in the field.
The interview process did not allow to show how the I would approach some of the problems/challenges in that role, which is unfortunate.
Leading on and not replying to emails was also quite unfortunate and perhaps unprofessional - Don't do it! It's ok to say you don't have answers :)
