We apologise for this experience, especially if, as you mentioned, at any point, our team came across as rude or condescending. I have passed this feedback directly to the relevant party. Interviewing is a skill, so any direct feedback offered will help us make candidates more comfortable and set for success in the future.
On the topic of the delaying the hiring for the headcount, we understand this can cause stress and we apologise again. A start up environment means tight decisions with limited resources and unfortunately these decisions often need to be made quickly. We do our best to communicate transparently, but we may not get it right all the time. We reiterate the feedback was honest and there was a last minute headcount change.
